Kahua for Education Selected to Modernize Numerous California Districts’ Capital Programs
Kahua, a leading provider of capital program and construction project management information systems (PMIS), has recently been selected to support four California school districts: San Juan Unified School District (SJUSD), Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD) Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) and Clovis Unified School District (CUSD).
Combined, all four districts serve over 125,000 students, with CUSD and SJUSD listed in the top 20 of the largest school districts in California.
In January of this year, Santa Clara paved the way as the earliest California school to adopt Kahua for Education as its next-generation collaboration platform.
To accommodate the many local and statewide capital programs requirements within the K-14 sector, Kahua has created specialized features configured just for California schools. Kahua’s capital program and project management solutions will allow these districts to provide transparency to key stakeholders and deliver engaging learning environments for students.
Three of the four districts were displacing legacy technology. The process of modernizing while moving live and closed programs to a new PMIS was made easier with Kahua’s seamless data migration. This process will mitigate risk and ensure minimal to no disruption in the teams’ ability to execute on their projects and preserve historical data.
Each of these districts has its own plan to revitalize school facilities. With a next-generation PMIS supporting them, they can focus on repairing facilities, maintaining existing structures and developing new learning spaces. These strategic updates will have a significant impact on the learning environment for the students in California.
“We are supporting these four districts in California who have adopted Kahua for Education for their programs,” said Brian Moore, President at Kahua. “More and more we are seeing districts move away from manual, disparate systems to a single platform to manage multiple funding sources and deliver unique district best practices and reporting.”
