Modernizing Federal Construction Project Management: Kahua for Federal Package

Kahua, a leading provider of capital program and construction project management information systems (PMIS), announces the release of Kahua for Federal, a purpose-built offering tailored specifically for federal agencies tasked with planning, building and managing construction projects of all sizes, anywhere in the world

Kahua for Federal delivers seamless collaboration, efficiency, security and transparency for all stakeholders with advanced regulatory, compliance, CMMC authorization and risk controls along with ATO Services. In addition, Kahua for Federal resides on the FedRAMP Authorized Kahua Government Network, hosted on a government community cloud for additional security.

The General Service Administration (GSA), Department of Veterans Affairs and U.S. Department of State Office Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) are just three federal agencies who rely on Kahua to manage their capital programs.

The State Department OBO shared how it has invested in Kahua, “an industry-standard, cloud-based project and construction management system that provides information sharing and document control for real-time collaboration.”

This strategic investment will simplify how people work across the entire project lifecycle, from performing integrated design reviews to managing the information requests and submittals needed to open a new overseas facility,” the agency shared in its online State Magazine. OBO’s move to standardize its project delivery process improves the efficiency of resource management and funding allocations and increases the consistency of project delivery broadly regardless of scope, scale, or funding.

According to OBO, these improvements revolutionize the way it does business and how it serves those out in the field. By consolidating disparate processes, OBO provides a comprehensive view of all projects, informing decision making, simplifying the project lifecycle, increasing transparency and streamlining communication. The end result is an enhanced customer service experience for those serving abroad across 300 locations.

Kahua for Federal delivers a comprehensive and secure solution for the five major challenges facing federal construction programs of all sizes in a single platform:

  • Portfolio and project management insight

  • Funding and budget accountability

  • Procurement and contract management

  • Design and construction administration

  • Asset data collection and handover to operations

“At Kahua, we are honored to help our federal clients deliver best practices, collaborate with stakeholders and provide transparency and accountability across their project portfolios,” said Rob Schrack, Kahua national sales manager for federal clients. With Kahua’s new federal package offering, they can hit the ground running with a project management solution purpose built for federal customers yet still leverage a platform designed to conform to their own unique requirements.

And, they can be assured they are working with the most experienced and trusted team in the industry.
