Kahua and Onuma Announce Asset Centric Collaboration

Kahua, a leading provider of capital program and construction project management information systems (PMIS), announces a collaboration with Onuma, an ecosystem of tools, platforms and services for buildings, cities and more.

The collaboration is highlighted in the recent Kahua/Onuma prototype completion that demonstrates data movement between Onuma’s BIM genie facility management for work orders, Onuma System for BIM and Kahua’s new Asset Centric Project Management capability. This fulfills the collective goal of streamlining the movement of asset data, documents and files throughout the lifecycle of an asset.

Kahua and Onuma can now provide additional value to Onuma’s integration with the California Community Colleges statewide FUSION (Facilities Utilization, Space Inventory Options Net) system. FUSION is a database of over 80 million square feet of facilities that tracks the condition assessments and develops cost modeling for maintenance projects, enabling colleges to plan budgets and help facilitate the passing of much-needed bond measures.

“Kahua is excited to bring this together to provide the analytics capability across the portfolio of assets,” said Kahua President Brian Moore. “This collaboration with Onuma is critical in bringing about this holistic asset picture.”

We look forward to implementing Kahua into the decades’ worth of work we’ve performed with the Foundation for California Community Colleges,” said Onuma President Kimon Onuma. “We believe this higher education system can greatly benefit from this level of seamless data flow throughout an asset’s lifecycle.”
